June 30th – Auto Extrication Drill

July 1, 2025 Zachary DuBois 1 min read

On June 30th, the Rush Fire Department conducted a motor vehicle extrication drill to simulate complex scenarios. During the drill, firefighters used ParaTech struts, block cribbing, straps, and airbags to extricate a simulated victim trapped underneath a vehicle. ParaTech representatives were present to assist in the training. This drill is a routine exercise to ensure that our firefighters maintain their skills in handling complicated accidents.
